NOTE: Be sure that all runners register for the relay team. One person will register themselves and pay for the whole team and the remaining runners will then need to sign up and select "join existing team" in order to complete your team's registration.

Gear Check + Security

Bags will be transported from the start to the finish area so athletes can have their bags available after finishing. There will be a gear bag drop-off area near the start line and a bag pickup area near the finish line.

Please note:

  • Bags must be the clear gear bags given out at the Race Exposition presented by Diadora. No substitutions.

  • Please DO NOT leave valuables in your bag.

  • Please DO NOT leave your bag unattended at any time.

  • Any items dropped at the start line or along the course will be donated to charity.

ALL backpacks, duffle bags, draw string bags or similar non-translucent bags will NOT be permitted at Monmouth Park or near the Start/Finish areas. Hydration packs and runner belts will be allowed but subject to search.

Course map



There will be three transition points along the course. All transition locations have been determined based on convenience (easy access to our busses)

  • Transition 1 – Mile 8.6 / Leg distance – 8.6 miles. Location: Long Branch Avenue between Avenel Blvd and Chelton Ave

  • Transition 2 – Mile 15 / Leg distance – 6.4 miles. Location: Ocean Ave at Parker Ave in Deal (at Deal Casino).

  • Transition 3 – Mile 22.1 / Leg distance – 7.1. Location: Ocean Ave at Parker Ave (*Note: This is the same location as Transition 2).

  • Final leg of the relay is 4.1 miles and concludes at the finish line.

**Relay Reunion**

Relay Runners will be dropped at the the main bus depot location in front of the Ocean Place Resort near the finish line. 

From there the runners can meet just past the finish chute in the Festival area.  

race day

  • Please wear your bib on the front of your shirt as all runners do.

  • The timing chip will be on a wrist/ankle band and serves as the hand-off baton.

  • FOUR finishers medals for the entire team will be given to the last runner/walker after they turn in the timing chip.

  • Teams with walkers or slow runners are welcome to participate in these events, provided you are able to complete the entire race in 6 hours and 30 minutes from the time the first person crosses the start line until the second person crosses the finish line.

  • IMPORTANT NOTE:  There is a course cut off at mile 11.5 at 10:30 a.m.  Any runner who does not reach this point, will be directed to complete the Half Marathon course.  Any runner who is directed to the Half Marathon course, will not reach the transition 2 location.  If your partner does reach this point by 11:25, the third leg runners should start their run at this time.


Each member of the 1st place team in each category will receive an award. Categories are:





  • Must maintain a 15 minute per mile pace.

  • Race is rain or shine.

  • Race bibs must be picked up at Packet Pickup at the Race Exposition presented by Diadora.

  • There is NO race day registration.

  • Relay runners must be 14 by race day (with parental consent).

  • Each member of a relay team will need to sign up for the event. The first team member to sign up will create the team name, become the team captain and pay for the team’s entry fee.

  • Unfortunately, no dogs or strollers allowed
